Funkverband ist richtig gut. Das war schon immer so. In den letzten Jahren sind sie allerdings noch besser geworden. Das hängt wahrscheinlich mit ihrer entspannten Herangehensweise an Musik zusammen. Alles kann, nichts muss. Oder eher „fast alles kann, einiges muss“. Irgendwie ist schon immer Funk im klassischen Sinne dabei. Es geht aber auch um Soul, Gefühl, in den letzten Jahren mehr und mehr um Crossoverelemente wie zu frühen Red Hot Chili Peppers Zeiten. Nicht dass alle Bandmitglieder diese Zeiten erlebt hätten, aber einige schon. Bei Konzerten ist Funkverband immer sofort erkennbar. Man könnte sie nie mit anderen verwechseln. Man kann und soll die Texte verstehen, die deutsch sind und wichtig. Es wird gezappelt oder zugehört, oder beides. Die Besetzung ist klassisch: Prägnante Stimmen, knarzige Orgel, Gitarre mit allem, was dazugehört, Bass und Schlagzeug grooven wie es sein soll.

License To Thrill

Als Drummer der legendären New Yorker Band „Defunkt“ hat Kenny Martin Musikgeschichte geschrieben. Gearbeitet hat er mit Parliament, Peter Fox und unzähligen mehr. Schon 1992 gründete er mit Andy Reimer und Heinrich Carstens die Band LTT und füllte Konzertsäle, dann pausierte die Band für viele Jahre.
Die Reunion 2026 mit einer hochkarätigen Besetzung der Band „LTT-License To Thrill“ wird der Schlagzeuger nun wieder für viel Aufmerksamkeit sorgen. Mit LTT kommt der urbane New York Funk nach Berlin in die Junction Bar zum (Wieder)Auftaktkonzert.
Mit einer außergewöhnlichen Mischung aus P-Funk, harten New York Grooves und Funk, sowie einer extravaganten internationalen 9 Piece Besetzung aus Rap, SoulVocals und Horns, wird Kenny Martin’s License To Thrill nicht nur Kenner, sondern auch die junge Szene mitreißen.

Swiss Pleasure  

Swiss Pleasure (Agathe, Alea & Claire, die alle nicht aus der Schweiz stammen) wurde 2021 in Berlin gegründet und ist von Dream Pop, Post-Punk, Stoner, Psych und sogar Jazz beeinflusst. Die Band setzt sich bewusst aus FLINTA*-Mitgliedern zusammen, um eine besondere Ausdrucksform zu erhalten und zu fördern, die in der Vergangenheit unterrepräsentiert und marginalisiert war. Die Geschichte von Swiss Pleasure ist eine ehrgeizige Geschichte, in der das Trio versucht, gemeinsam als Musiker zu wachsen und gleichzeitig ein starkes Gefühl der Verletzlichkeit im Herzen zu behalten. Nach der erfolgreichen Veröffentlichung einer ersten EP im Jahr 2024 und Auftritten in ganz Deutschland und Europa bereiten sie sich nun mit einer Reihe von Songs, die im Laufe des Jahres 2026 erscheinen sollen, auf eine neue Ära vor.

Bobby Pin Indie-Rock-Pop

Some members of Bobby Pin knew each other from school in Brazil, while others met later in Berlin. The city brought all five musicians together and continues to shape their sound through its constant new influences. The band's music is rooted in alternative rock, enriched by Brazilian influences and the diverse musical backgrounds of its members. The result is a sound that feels both familiar and unique, combining performances with a wide range of inspirations. Bobby Pin is currently preparing the release of its first original singles, with the first songs scheduled to be released starting in July and additional releases planned throughout the summer.

Toon Bosch

Learning how to write music from playing in bands during his teenage years, Toon Bosch moved on to write and produce songs on his own while studying at the Conservatory of Groningen. Growing up in a creative household, he began drawing at an early age as a way to express his imagination. Inspired by artists such as Ichiko Aoba, Luwten, Ennio Morricone and Henri Mancini, Toon creates intimate musical worlds through carefully chosen sounds, harmonies and melodies.
